Dr. Francis Buckman attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate studies and then went on to Medical School at Temple University. Dr. Buckman obtained his training in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. After residency, he served as the Chief of Otolaryngology/ Head Neck Surgery at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Missouri. Dr. Buckman is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and he has been practicing in the Fredericksburg area since 2010. Dr. Buckman lives in Stafford with his wife and three daughters.

His bedside manner is awesome
Finally, a doctor who actually listens to the patient and asks pertinent questions plus gives a realistic assessment of what can and can’t be considered for treatment. I am so impressed with his demeanor and medical expertise…going over the MRIs with me and explaining what he saw and the options that are reasonable. Will return annually for hearing updates and highly recommend Dr. Buckman to others.

Built my confidence in diagnosis of discovered sore sport inflammation under the left side of my tongue! Follow plan of adding the oral rinse & teturn for follow up visit in two weeks’ appt set! Thank you again Dr. Buckman!!!
Dr. Buckman is fantastic. I honestly wish he could see my children for everything! He is such a great disposition and addressed all of my concerns. He discussed the pros and cons of things my pediatrician had recommended and seemed to support my decision to not subject my children to procedures that could be considered elective and not necessary for them at this point. I appreciate his transparent conversation.
