He completed medical school locally at Touro University Nevada – College of Osteopathic Medicine, interned as a first-year resident at St. Lucie Medical Center in South Florida, and completed a comprehensive 4-year OB/GYN residency at AMITA Consortium in Chicago, Illinois.
In particular, Dr. Hernandez is interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and providing the best care possible to the expecting mother. He is a proponent for patient-focused care and shared physician-patient decision making as well as extensive patient education.
Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Hernandez was a server at Black Bear Diner while in high school and college. He was also a martial artist for 14 years, which included being a 4th Degree Black Belt and Certified Taekwondo Instructor. When not working, he also enjoys traveling, music events, and sports, including football and racquetball.
