A Johns Hopkins graduate with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Tyson’s contributions continue to assist ophthalmologists worldwide in their ability to offer patients new advancements in vision technology. Dr. Tyson is one of the first in the world to utilize Intraoperative Wavefront Technology during cataract surgery, a technology that has revolutionized cataract surgery. Using sophisticated instruments, Dr. Tyson is able to capture real-time refractive measurements of the patient’s eye during surgery. This advanced approach will allow ophthalmologists to tailor intraoperative lenses immediately, reducing or even eliminating the need for postoperative surgery and/or postoperative eyeglasses.

Very painful, could have had more pain drops. Very good doctor and nurse and staff.
I had an appointment yesterday (sept 26) with Dr. Tyson for a cataract consult and decided to schedule the surgery. Previously I had two other consults (in NC) and Dr. Tyson is definitely the surgeon of choice for me. He was clear, concise, listened to my concerns and explained the various options available. I am actually looking forward to the surgery!!
