Faraz Kerendi, M.D is originally from Los Angeles, California and earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. His general surgery residency and cardiac surgery fellowship were both completed at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kerendi has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 2009.

He currently serves as surgical director of the Heart Valve Clinic at Heart Hospital of Austin.

Dr. Kerendi was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He took time to get to know me as a person rather than simply a condition to be treated. He answered all my questions in clear language that a lay person could understand and is following up with a CT scan to get the most precise info he can. I left his office feeling the I was in very good hands.

Dr Kerendi explained my surgical options for Aortic valve and root repair thoroughly. I mentioned several procedures to him based on my own research and recommendations by friends who have been in my shoes.
