In addition to being a founding member of Genesis Healthcare Partners, he is the Surgical Director of the Living Donor Program of the Sharp Memorial Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program. He has been practicing in San Diego since 1999.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Vapnek received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester before earing his M.D. from the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
