Eugene Cheng, DPM

Dr. Eugene Cheng, D.P.M., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained podiatrist. His areas of expertise include but are not limited to: diabetic foot care, wound care, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, soft tissue lesions, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, sports-related injuries to the foot and ankle, fractures, dislocations, ankle arthroscopy, reconstructive surgery for flatfoot or cavus foot, and Charcot reconstruction.

Dr. Cheng was raised in Seattle, WA, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Physiology at the University of Washington. He went to Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH, and obtained a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Dr. Cheng then completed a 4-year Podiatric surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, where he trained in conjunction with world-renowned orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, and plastic surgeons. Afterwards, he completed a 1-year fellowship focusing on sports medicine of the foot and ankle at the Specialty Surgical Center in Irvine, CA.

Dr. Cheng is passionate about evidence-based medicine and, most recently, had work published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In his spare time, he thoroughly enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing sports such as tennis and baseball, spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and trying various new cuisines.
