Dr Duran, after going over all my labs, gives me loads of information regarding what to eat and gives her own personal touch as to best oils to cook with, best veggies for me. Answers any questions or concerns I have. She is cheery, attentive and I feel good after I see her.

She is a very loving doctor. Always has time to talk to my dad. Never rushes and explains everything to you. I wouldn’t change her for any other doctor.
Dr. Esther Urbaez-Duran has been in the Gonzaba Medical Group family since 2011. She chose to work with GMG after she heard about the friendly work environment and dedication to patient care. Dr. Duran graduated with a medical degree from the Universidad Catolica Madra y Maestra with Magna Cum Laude honors in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She completed her residency and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan with specialties in Hematology, Internal Medicine, and Oncology. Dr. Duran’s memberships and affiliations include the Texas Medical Association, Nueces County Medical Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Duran is fluent in both English and Spanish.
During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and read.
