Dr. Duran is a very caring person towards me as a patients. Dr.Duran explained my results to me and I was allowed to ask questions. She is a God send. Thank you Dr. Duran.

On our phone visit Dr Duran took the time to go over my lab results. I had a good report and she was pleased with my progress. She said to keep doing what I’m doing.

Dr. Duran Hematologist is an AWESOME Medical Professional Specialist who takes time with her patients. She gets a 10 Stars.
Dr. Esther Urbaez-Duran has been in the Gonzaba Medical Group family since 2011. She chose to work with GMG after she heard about the friendly work environment and dedication to patient care. Dr. Duran graduated with a medical degree from the Universidad Catolica Madra y Maestra with Magna Cum Laude honors in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She completed her residency and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan with specialties in Hematology, Internal Medicine, and Oncology. Dr. Duran’s memberships and affiliations include the Texas Medical Association, Nueces County Medical Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Duran is fluent in both English and Spanish.
During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and read.
