Erin Syers Nyarko, DO FACOG

Dr. Erin Syers Nyarko, D.O., was born and raised in El Paso, Texas to two hard-working middle-class parents. She has one sibling, a younger sister, who is also in the medical field. She is a first generation doctor! She received her bachelors degree in forensic science from Baylor University in 2005 and her masters degree in medical science from Hampton University in 2008.

She was accepted into an osteopathic medical school in Virginia in 2008 and graduated in the top 10% of her class in 2012. She is a member of the sigma sigma phi honors fraternity. She matched into an allopathic residency program for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Georgia and she completed that residency program in 2016 with awards in proficiency in laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. She is a board-certified practicing Obstetrics and Gynecologist.

She found herself in the East Valley of Phoenix Arizona for her first job after completing residency. She quickly fell in love and then eventually migrated to the west valley with her then fiancé. They married in 2018 and had a beautiful baby girl in 2019.

She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She enjoys hiking, exercising and traveling. She loves music and dancing. She has a good eye for fashion, and she’s a sneakerhead. People who know her consider her fun, loving, loyal, hard working and optimistic. She loves to make people smile!

Her characteristic red curly hair makes her stand out in a crowded room. She’s left handed…..a rare breed in her profession, and she has piano playing hands, so she’s always at your cervix!
