Eric Simmons, D.P.M.

Dr. Eric Simmons is a board-certified general podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle ailments such as diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts, and painful calluses, along with general foot care.

Dr. Simmons began his academic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Chemistry. He then received his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration from East Carolina University. Following his Master’s degree, Dr. Simmons received his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, he completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Dr. Simmons has co-authored an article for the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine Handbook and has given multiple podium and poster presentations at national conferences. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medicine Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He has worked as a podiatrist in Durham, NC for the last nine years prior to joining Raleigh Orthopaedic.
