I’ve had like 2-3 visits with Dr. Simmons and it’s been good visits! His nice, friendly persona makes you feel very comfortable which to me is very important. He’s extremely knowledgeable as well. Will continue to recommend him and go to his office!

If you’ve ever had a steroid injection into a joint, you know they can be painful. Dr Simmons injected both my feet for plantar fasciitis and it was nearly painless. Kindness and skill. Great doctor!

i felt rushed and he didn't want to hear all the details about what i've done in past for PT and what I've done since my issue. He didn't suggest any particular exercise he liked best. I would have expected a little more from professional services considering the cost of a specialist. There was nothing new added from my orthopedic urgent care visit. I'm disappointed. To play devil's advocate, maybe he didn't think my case was a big issue and that with regiment, this would go away. But it would have been nice to at least have paid from some encouragement from my professional for the cost.

Always on time, personable, and professional

I see many medical professionals. This guy was unimpressive and showed no genuine interest in my health. Had I not attempted to engage him with questions and comments, he would have been hard pressed to have spent 30 seconds with me.

I felt like I had to lead him to figure out what was going on with my foot, asking questions or suggesting treatment. I wish there could be more than one podiatrist to choose as my specialist at Raleigh Ortho.

Eric was through, professional and able to get my 5 year old orthotics updated through their clinic - glad I found him!

Have seen Dr. Simmons twice now in the last 3 months - two different injuries. He is extremely competent, has great bedside manner, and I would highly recommend him.

Why do doctors think a woman should wear a larger size shoe because she is having foot problems/!! "Doctoring" the shoe to try and make a larger size work DOES NOT WORK!!! I have tried it...especially when you have a narrow foot and an even more narrow heel!! Stop being so flippant and think of a REAL way to help.

Doctor Simmons was direct and gave me my options on treatment and then took care of the issue within 20 minutes. I would recommend him, and Raleigh Orthopedic to anyone. They replaced my knee in 2019 and it has been great.

I hoped for more from him than to be handed a pamphlet so I could go away and select products with absolutely no guidance. At least some discussion about which would work better for my problem would have been helpful. We discussed one thing that he would have had to order for me, but he didn't pursue it. I don't know if I should come back to continue about that item, but I guess I'll go somewhere else to get some attention. Clearly he did not like me.

I could do and say more as I diagnosed myself. Dr. Simmons is too shy, and not very informative. I had to put more effort in than what I got out of this visit. 2 stars are because he gave me a cortisone shot in each foot and prescribed a topical. I won't return.

Dr.Simmons is a great listener.

I took a friend to a first time visit with Dr Simmons today. She is having difficulty maintaining her nail care and has developed calluses that are hard to reach. She has developed a lot of foot pain over the years. Quite common for an older lady such as herself. Dr. Simmons clipped very few nails. When I asked if her calluses could be addressed. He replied they would only come back and I should try to get her to soak her feet and scrape them. I was thinking the purpose to see a podiatrist is to have someone who can help with nail care, along with addressing callus issues that develop with age. Dr Simmons spent about five minutes with my friend and did not take the time to check out her feet thoroughly. I don't think I have ever seen a professional show so much disinterest in the care of a patient. He showed no attempt to connect with the patient. Raleigh Ortho is wonderful but this podiatrist was not up to their standards.

Dr Simmons was able to quickly diagnose my toenail problems and took care of it. He also gave me some advice on how to manage it in the future.

Disappointed. Had to suggest med be placed on toe as it was red and inflamed. Was given small band aids needed for toe since I was having difficulty finding them. Handed me a catalog. No bedside manner. On Medicare, but not seen over 10 min. Just told could soak toe, cushion - that was it. Asst gave me shoe finder sheet.

I broke my foot in Nov. 2020, and I was referred to Dr. Simmons. This foot was already plagued with plantar fasciitis. Although it was not healing as it should, Dr. Simmons arranged for a stimulator and stuck with me for 10 months, and the foot eventually healed. His "bedside manner" is that of care and compassion as well as easy to talk to. Would highly recommend him.
