I sat in the exam chair waiting for the doctor to see me for a half an hour. There wasn't many patients in the exam rooms so I don't know why I had to wait so long. It takes way to long every visit, at least an hour or more. Wasted time.

Overall excellent and professional annual evaluation of my lattice degeneration condition diagnosed in 2021. Very good screening of the eyes. Very good retinal exams using two types of photo images and clinical exam by the specialist doctor. The doctor reviewed the findings well and gave a detailed response of potential future impacts.

I think the doctor should sit down with his patient for 10 minutes after he does a procedure. They run out after the procedure.

Dr. Eric Shakin has been treating me for Macular Edema / CRVO since 2018. He takes the time to assess and inform me with details and through I have an issue that is incurable, he has providing treatment that has prevented the issue from progressing. I met with Dr. SHAKIN recently re an aneurysm in my left eye. I found him to be very pleasant, informative , and with a calming presence. I would also like to state that have attended other VR Consultants offices recently and found each office had wonderful employees who were always polite and accommodating (quite rare in today's world!).

Dr. Shakin has literally brought my eyesight back to near normal from almost total blindness! He is a caring professional who does only what is necessary to correct eye problems! I have been his patient for about 25 years! Without his expertise and consciousness there is no doubt that I’d be blind! My vision is pretty good today because of this wonderful man!
