Dr. Eric Sako, M.D., FAAD, is an Ivy League-educated, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and board-certified dermatologist. He is an expert in skin cancer surgery and complex facial reconstruction, cosmetic injectables such as Botox® and Juvederm®, and general medical dermatology, including moles, acne, and eczema.
Dr. Sako earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School, where he majored in Finance. He completed medical school at UCLA and graduated AOA, a distinction given only to those at the top of the class. He went on to complete his dermatology residency at UCLA. To further his training in skin cancer surgery, Dr. Sako completed a comprehensive and prestigious Mohs surgery fellowship at UCLA. During the fellowship, Dr. Sako mastered all aspects of Mohs surgery and cosmetics alongside leaders in the field of dermatology, laser surgery, and plastic surgery.
Dr. Sako is dedicated to advancing the field of dermatology and improving patient care. He has presented his dermatology research at national dermatology meetings and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. He has acted as a study coordinator for a large national clinical trial for psoriasis, which led to FDA approval of a novel biologic medication. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Sako was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He enjoys swimming, the Lakers, and spending time with family.

Doctor Sako answered all my questions about the procedure and the surgery was painless and quick. Follow up was very good and timely.

Very good doctor fast and thorough
He ordered an antibiotic and didn’t give the strength. When he did give the strength, no pharmacy had it on hand. I cannot get on an antibiotic after surgery because of this. Trying to get a hold of him for something I can get at a pharmacy today. Had surgery yesterday.
He’s my favorite Dr. After 3 Mohs procedures by Dr Sako I find his work exceptional. The incision scar on my face is invisible! He’s always very professional, kind and gracious. I nicknamed him my Dr 90210 😆 highly recommend him
