I recently visited this doctor for a malunion issue and was thoroughly disappointed. As an artist, I'm deeply affected by this injury, which will degenerate without proper treatment. The doctor's approach was dismissive and cold, offering only fusion without considering my needs. Suggesting fusion as the sole solution is laughable and asinine, especially when bone reconstruction options are available. My PCP was also unimpressed and is helping me secure a referral to a specialist at UW Med or UCLA. The doctor's dismissal of my condition seemed like gaslighting. Given advancements in reconstructive surgery, options exist beyond fusion. I'll seek a more qualified specialist who will take my needs seriously and share this experience in press coverage as my career develops internationally. If you want a doctor who explores options or sees you as an individual, look elsewhere. I certainly hope he wasn’t judging risk by my temporary insurance; I’m paying for service not the other way round.
