He offers first-time hip and knee replacements, complex primary joint replacements, joint preserving procedures, partial knee replacements, and revision joint replacement.
Wanting a career focused on the service of others, Dr. Szczesniak attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois, for his undergraduate education. Much of that early education was spent in engineering courses. While attending Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, his mechanical background and engineering passion led him to an orthopedic surgery specialty.
Dr. Szczesniak continued his training through an orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. There, he developed a strong interest in total joint replacement, which proved to be the ideal field to combine a highly technical engineering proficiency with the ability to improve a patient’s quality of life. Dr. Szczesniak then completed his fellowship at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland, where he learned from the most challenging cases and honed his skills.
In his free time, friends and family are a priority, but he still finds time for his interest in aviation and related hobbies as well as running to stay active.

Was there for a shot to the hip. Have been before, impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the nurses/staff and the doctor.
I actually didn't see Dr. Szczesnial today for my visit because it was only to get shots on both knees. I ended up seeing Josh. The staff at Lakeshore Bone and Joint is amazing.

Very nice. He gave me time to ask questions and explained everything very well.
His assistant Dr. Josh is really a nice guy and thoroughly explained my options. Was very concerning to my needs. The reception is got i didn't like. I walked to the desk to sign in and the lady asked what I wanted. With such a dumb question I gave a dumb answer , I said I want doctor. She didn't smile and was not at all welcoming. Had disposition of an gnat,annoying. She wouldn't be working for me and I won't go back to that office. I'll try to stay in valpo. Any other time I've had great experiences.
Very nice first visit was pleasant to talk with I feel he will be a great replacement from my previous Dr that retired.
He is always a listener, and takes time to explane.
He explained everything and told me options. I didn't feel rushed thru my appointment.
