He is a fantastic doctor! He has treated both of my children for their chronic ear infections and I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of his care.

We recently visited for our post-op visit after our three year old had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. He was also rushed to the ER the night prior to the check in because he had coughed up blood. We would have benefited from some more compassion in the care at the post-op check in. Although this occurs in 3% of cases (so maybe not unexpected to a medical provider), this happened to our child, and it was terrifying for our family. It would have been nice to see that compassion and understanding in the post-op visit.

He was polite, however I left the appointment still unsure of what was going on medically. He just kept insisting I read the packet he gave me instead of actually discussing it with me. He would allow me to talk, as if he was intently listening, but then wouldn’t discuss much. Only hinted at my test results. And most of the visit was spent in awkward silence while he stared at me.

Dr. Goebel saw me in the exam room quite quickly and was professional, efficient, caring and helpful. I will return to see him whenever I have any ENT concerns.

Eric Goebel is a sexy man, unfortunately he is also inarticulate and unfriendly.

Very nice, very professional. Was willing to do some research on my particular hearing issues.

I don’t think there was enough examination during the intake. Out of all my doctor’s visits, this is the only place where my vitals were not taken. No weight, BP, pulse. With my complaint of sinus pain and swelling, the doctor did not feel my face, head, or neck. It was the shortest doctor’s visit I’ve ever had. At first, I was glad. As I was walking out, I realized that he missed something — there was a lump on my neck. If he would’ve done a head and neck evaluation, he would’ve noticed it. I hope it’s nothing.

Great experience he performed my sons tonsillectomy, my daughters ear tubes and my daughters tonsillectomy. Each procedure went perfect. Very calm and relaxed demeanor which us very important with young kids. Also, doesn't beat around the bush or push unnecessary steps. Gets right to the issues and addresses them. I appreciated Dr. Goebel's explanation of the Cochlear Implant, and that from his perspective, and my audiology hearing test, I should not go that route...rather get new hearing aids.

I just had my first visit with Dr Goebel. My problem has to do with issues not usually found in the central Michigan area. It has been going on for a while and I, like many people, have done a lot of research regarding it before seeing him. Unlike many health professionals, Dr. Goebel seriously listened to my explanations and opinions before deciding which tests and procedures will be done. He, obviously, has much more knowledge in the ENT field than his patients, but sometimes a patient may have some insight into their problem that a doctor may miss or not be aware of. Doctors who are willing to work with their patients are usually the best ones. It can take a few extra minutes during the exam, but that extra time and consideration can sometimes make a huge, more positive result. I really appreciated that in Dr. Goebel.
