Dr. Emily Ann Kapunan Andaya is originally from the Philippines where she completed her bachelor of science in biology at the University of the Philippines. She then attained her doctor of medicine degree at Saint Louis University in Missouri. She became board certified in internal medicine and then decided to go back to nursing school and finished her bachelor in nursing, before joining her husband in the United States. Dr. Andaya was a certified critical care nurse and was also a stroke nurse in California. She obtained her residency training in family medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. She graduated as the Chief Resident on both her residencies in internal medicine in the Philippines and family medicine residency in Michigan.
Dr. Andaya has been working at MHP since 2013. She is a Fellow of American Academy of Family Physicians, Diplomate of American Board of Family Medicine, Diplomate of American Board of Obesity Medicine and Diplomate of American Board of Clinical Lipidology. She spends most of her free time playing and watching movies with her family. She loves singing and hopes someday she will learn how to play the piano.

Dr. Andaya is always very thorough and kind. I saw Cherry yesterday for shots. She is also very knowledgeable and kind.

Doctor Andaya is a wonderful caring doctor. She listens to your concerns and addresses each and every one of them. She takes time to give you information and fully explains what is going on with your health. She is absolutely wonderful.

Grateful there was an availability open and was able to get immediate medical care and treatment. Professional approach yet personal care & concern for well being. Applied methodical protocol to ensure proper removal and appreciate her forwarding specimen to health department/ CDC for review of any diseases/pathogens that may relate to symptoms/ ailments currently experiencing. Grateful to have Dr. Andaya’s attention & care with this medical concern.
