Dr. Elsayed Mohamed, M.D. is a partner of Chicago Cardiology Institute and Director of Structural Heart and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Therapy Division. His areas of expertise include structural heart disease interventions including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair using Mitraclip, left atrial appendage occlusion (Watchman), closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defect, and complex coronary artery interventions including the use of mechanical circulatory support, endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (EVAR), peripheral artery disease interventions for symptom relief, wound healing and limb salvage, and endovascular treatment of venous insufficiency.
