Elisa Tso Bomgaars, MD

Dr. Elisa Tso Bomgaars is a board-certified Medical Oncologist and joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in October 2013. She specializes in Lung, Head & Neck malignancies, Myeloma & Lymphoma and hematologic disorders. She graduated with honors from an accelerated program through the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine, which allowed her to finish medical school two years earlier than normal. She completed both internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship training at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

She has been involved in clinical and drug development research at the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and has presented at several American Society of Clinical Oncology and Hematology annual meetings. She is at present an investigator in research trials. She enjoys golfing, cooking and traveling with her husband Scott, a pediatrician.

In addition to her knowledge and skill, Dr. Bomgaars brings deep compassion to her practice. “My greatest satisfaction is helping my patients survive cancer and getting to know them on a personal level by taking time to listen.”
