Dr. Elan W. Salzhauer M.D., is a Board Certified Urologist treating a wide range of urologic conditions, with a subspecialty focus on Kidney Cancer and Prostate Cancer using Robotic & Laparoscopic Surgery. He also has an interest in BPH, bladder cancer and kidney stone disease. Dr. Salzhauer believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of these disorders and regularly brings in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Nephrology and other health related specialists to find the optimum outcome for his patients.
Dr. Salzhauer received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, his Medical School training from SUNY Upstate Medial School and his Urology training from SUNY Downstate Medical School in New York City including training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Salzhauer’s research has been published in the Journal of Urology, the British Journal of Urology and the Journal of Pediatrics. He has presented his work at several international meetings and he is a member of several major medical and urological associations. He has won several awards including a prestigious teaching award and continues to educate other physicians as the Urology instructor for the St. Joseph’s Hospital Family Practice residency program.
Dr. Salzhauer and his wife Anne have four children and enjoy living in central New York. He has been in practice since 2006.
