Dr. Edwin J. Lee, M.D., is the founder and Medical Director of Reston ENT. A native of west Michigan, he earned his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Lee completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lee has received several scholarships and awards for his clinical and academic achievements. He has also been named Top Doctor in the past several Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Consumers' Checkbook peer-nominated physician surveys. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing quality patient care in a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions and has been trained in the latest medical and surgical methods. He has a particular interest in minimally-invasive surgery, balloon sinuplasty, benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, allergy and sinus problems, sleep apnea surgery, voice disorders, and pediatric ENT problems. Dr. Lee lives with his wife in Northern Virginia.
Very knowledgeable about the issue which brought me to him. Easy to talk to. Decisive in articulating a treatment plan.
Everyone is very professional and courteous, and I am so grateful that the front desk scheduler was able to move my appointment up. I have had a sore throat for 3 weeks now and not knowing why. I decided to see a new Ent Dr after having a bad experience elsewhere. He was very professional and told me exactly what I had and eeded to do. I started feeling better today. I will continue my ent care with Dr. Lee.
I had a very good experience with Dr. Lee. He was very knowledgeable, took my concerns seriously, and explained things clearly. He also reassured me about the procedure, explaining that it would be quick and not painful, which I greatly appreciated. I felt comfortable with him and confident in his care. I was less pleased with some aspects of the office experience. I had specifically called ahead and requested to see Dr. Lee rather than a PA and was told this would be noted, but a PA was still sent in first. I also waited approximately 35 minutes before being taken to an exam room. My biggest concern is how difficult it is to reach the office by phone. Even extensions I was given to reach the office directly led to a message asking me to leave my information and wait for a text. I prefer being able to speak with someone by phone when needed. That said, when I replied to a text with a prescription request, it was handled immediately, which was excellent and greatly appreciated.
