Dr. Edwin Acevedo, Jr. M.D., is a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellow with extensive experience in the field. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2015. He also holds a Master of Health Administration from Temple University.
He completed a categorical residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital and is currently a fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He was recognized as Resident Educator of the Year by the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UT Health in 2023. His published works focus on bariatric and reconstructive surgery outcomes as well as patient safety economics. Dr. Acevedo is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons.
