Biography
Dr. Edward Humbert founded Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida in 2003 and established himself as a regional leader in total joint replacement and arthroscopy. Dr. Humbert developed his interest in orthopaedics while obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and his Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron. His studies concentrated on musculoskeletal biomechanics, as well as orthopedic implant design. He completed his medical school training at Nova Southeastern University and orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio University, Columbus, OH. He then completed a one-year fellowship in joint replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee.
Dr. Humbert’s goal is to perform a safe, quality joint replacement, as well as provide the most progressive conservative measures to preserve the natural joint prior to surgery. He instructs surgeons around the country on the most state of the art techniques in total hip and knee replacement. Dr. Humbert has successfully implanted over 8000 hip and knee replacements and currently performs over 900 joint replacements a year.
In his free time, Dr. Humbert enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

Dr Humbert is an expert in his field and a really nice Doctor. I'm glad he was recommended to me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a knee replacement.
Brilliant surgeon. Wish he'd spend more time in the exam room though.
Dr gives clear instructions before surgery and this helps ease any anxiety since we know what’s happening. The videos had tips to prepare, including starting exercises before surgery. Very nice that the home nurse and home pt came immediately along with the set up for outpatient pt—- there was no lag in therapy. Dr totally has an efficient plan of treatment — and it works!!
I can't Thank Dr. Humbert enough for the replacement of both my hips this year. I haven't been able to walk without a walker since 2019! Now I can enjoy my retirement and have some fun. Thank you so much!!!

Great Surgeon! I'm very happy with my new knee.
I got there early and so they did my X-ray early and then put me in the main waiting room. When I asked about my appt. Found out that the nurse had been calling me from the post X-ray waiting room.
