Biography
Dr. Edward Humbert founded Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida in 2003 and established himself as a regional leader in total joint replacement and arthroscopy. Dr. Humbert developed his interest in orthopaedics while obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and his Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron. His studies concentrated on musculoskeletal biomechanics, as well as orthopedic implant design. He completed his medical school training at Nova Southeastern University and orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio University, Columbus, OH. He then completed a one-year fellowship in joint replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee.
Dr. Humbert’s goal is to perform a safe, quality joint replacement, as well as provide the most progressive conservative measures to preserve the natural joint prior to surgery. He instructs surgeons around the country on the most state of the art techniques in total hip and knee replacement. Dr. Humbert has successfully implanted over 8000 hip and knee replacements and currently performs over 900 joint replacements a year.
In his free time, Dr. Humbert enjoys golf and spending time with his family.

He did an outstanding job on my total right knee replacement.
Dr. Humbert and his staff are professional and supportive. I had my right hip replaced in October, and in four short weeks I am walking over a mile daily. I am going to start walking in the pool today to increase strength. Every day I feel improvement in range of motion. Pain level has been very low throughout.
My third joint replacement by Dr Humbert. I’m hoping it’s my last. But if not would not go anywhere else. He is the master!
This was my second successful surgery with Dr. Humbert. After the first, I felt he was the best hip surgeon around. This time around he earned great status. He is intelligent, organized, and methodical in his approach to hip surgery.

This is such a well run doctor’s office. Efficient and caring staff, all pleasant and professional. Dr Humbert did an excellent job knee replacement surgery which I had an excellent outcome with minimal pain.
