Dr. Edward J. Barbarito, M.D., received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Rutgers University and his MD from New Jersey Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at New Jersey Medical School and served as a Chief Medical Resident at Hackensack University Medical Center. In addition to gastroenterology fellowship training at New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Barbarito also completed an additional year of advanced therapeutic endoscopy training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Barbarito treats a full range of gastrointestinal disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease and colorectal cancer screening with colonoscopy. His areas of special interest include disorders of the pancreas and biliary tree, as well as performing BARRX radio frequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus.
