Dr Ashman has seen me through 4 rotator cuff repair surgeries over my 20-year career. He explained why the shoulder replacement was now needed with patience & ensured I understood what the recovery (rehabilitation) process would likely be. His surgery scheduler, iMs. Patty, is as patient, efficient, kind and empathetic as ever. This is an exceptional team. If your arthritis requires relacong a knee or shoulder joint, this is the team you want to see you to a successful mobile outcome.

Dr Ashman needs to keep his negative comments about the local bad quality of medical care and low pay of Dr's out of the exam rm.. 1st & last visit there.. have been in severe pain for over 5 weeks.. referred by primary dr. as part of the healing process.. dr. Ashman as much as said I needed a new primary Dr.. I asked if he could suggest one.. He said he couldn't find one himself and after all he was a Dr. himself.. should that make a difference??? Recieved his visit summary and it contained inaccuracies like saying he did hands on evaluations - he never touched me or allowed me to say anything too much... VERY UN-PROFESSIONAL.. My wife who is a retired nurse was with me and we left worse off than before we came in... bewildered...

Dr. Edward Ashman is an outstanding physician. He is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about his patients. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit.

My Experience with Dr. Edward and His Team
I arrived for my appointment believing we would discuss treatment options for my right knee, including the possibility of an injection.
Dr. Edward came into the room, introduced himself, and was very polite. He asked how I was doing and then asked about my left knee, which had previously undergone knee replacement surgery.
I explained that my left knee is still warm, stiff, and occasionally painful. I also mentioned that I had been treated by an Infectious Disease doctor because there had been concerns about a possible infection after surgery.
After only a few minutes of conversation, Dr. Edward appeared concerned about the possibility that there might still be unresolved issues with my left knee. Shortly afterward, he left the room.
A few minutes later, another staff member came in and informed me that Dr. Edward would not be seeing me further and that no treatment would be provided for my right knee until the situation with my left knee was

Dr. Edward Ashman joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2003. He is fellowship trained in the surgical treatment of athletic injuries of the shoulder, knee and elbow.
He is currently on faculty as an assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Dr. Ashman received a Bachelor of Science in 1992 from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He attended New York’s Albany Medical College where he received his doctor of medicine in 1997. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Albany Medical Center.
In 2003, Dr. Ashman completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Nirschl Sports Clinic at Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, D.C., under the guidance of the renowned Dr. Robert P. Nirschl. During this fellowship, Dr. Ashman served as a team physician for the George Mason University football and basketball teams.
Dr. Ashman practices at the highest level of sports medicine having treated many professional athletes including members of the ATP professional tennis tour and the AVP professional beach volleyball tour. He regularly provides care for performers in many of the largest and most popular shows on the Las Vegas Strip, including Cirque Du Soleil productions.
