Edward Ashman, M.D.

Dr. Ashman was very thorough and I didn't feel rushed during my visit with him. The office, however, makes you come in 45 minutes early cuz they don't have adequate intake staff. The line was out the door at 9:00 a.m.! It took 35 minutes for me to spend 5 minutes with the "reception" area. Hopefully it won't take that long if I need to go back!!

He is a very soft spoken friendly Doctor!! Today's visit was great. Can't give 100% rating the last 2 times dealing with his nurse Kimberly.

Always comforted in my interactions with Dr. Ashman and Nevada Orthopedics! I have been a patient for various physical challenges over the years and I extremely satisfied and grateful to have found this organization and these doctors! Knees examined and worked on for years; and now in and out in 45 minutes for my shoulder! Treated and relieved quite expeditiously!!!!

Good doctor. Staff was great. A little bit rocky to start since they scheduled me for 2 body parts in one visit. He took care of everything I needed and got new X-rays in clinic that was a plus. The only reason I am not giving 5 starts is that the exam rooms are not sound proof and I could hear the doctor complaining to staff about having a new PT with 2 different body parts issues at the same time and I know he needs to get more info in my case since it's on going he didn't do a physical exam to determine where exactly the pain was or if I had any swelling he just gave me a plan base on what I had done in the pass which has help me.

He didn't listen to any of my sons concerns of his shoulder all he said was do physical Therapy because you'll be out of work for 3 months if we if surgery is done And didn't even go over the MRI result with my son my son told him that his shoulder popped out 2 times He touched the shoulder didn't move it or anything was in the room maybe 10 minutes and said therapy goodbye i will not Recommend him to anyone I know very unprofessional

Doctor Ashman did such excellent work on my left knee. I'm going back for him to work on my right knee, I trust nobody else but doctor Ashlyn.

Dr. did not answer all of my questions barely look at my slides gave a recommendation walked out and never came back. I had no idea he was ending the visit, he was very short and did not provide any information as to what was going on. I would like another appointment with another doctor and I do not feel like I should have to pay again as this was abrupt and not thorough. I left with many of the same questions I walked in with and there was a body part that he did not review

Have to be at the office 30 mins before appt even though I am an established patient. If not they make you go home. Appt time 8:30, doc did not come in til 9 and diagnosed me before even sitting down or looking at x-rays.

He is and I quote a doctor 2 minutes meaning he came in the room looked at my MRI and did not see what my other doctor had previously seen. That took him about 2 minutes and then he left the room. He didn't smile once was very serious and unfriendly

When he saw that we spoke English as a second language He did not explain to us the condition well and why he wanted the shoulder injection, He said that I needed to do physical therapy, and he left, and the assistant came back to us and said that he did not mention that, and when i asked her, she said, “I will see.”, after that she back with the referral papers.

His staff is rude and intrusive. She walked me out to waiting room to ask why I was filing for disability. I rattled off 15 problems I was embarrassed and felt like she truly violated my HIPPA rights. . None that had to do with my knee. I’m have 5 Dr there they I have been seen for different body parts. Had both knees checked first one he never even looked or touched my knee. Other knee just started giving out repeatedly causing falls. I have had bad knees for years. Something happened to cause instability and he couldn’t be bothered!

I’ve seen Dr. Ashman twice for my right shoulder and both times his knowledge and experience have made me feel at ease. My fathers a physician in town who knows of him and a few other doctors have also spoken highly of him, so I make a point of coming to see him for my shoulder. Highly recommend.

Doctor was informative but felt like from the entering the room that I was just another patient and he felt rushed the whole time. Which didn’t make sense because my appointment was at 410 and he didn’t enter the room until well after 520. I with my partner sat in the room for other an hour with no one saying anything. One person popped their head in but didn’t say anything. After an injection I was told to wait for my paperwork, we waited another 20 minutes before we went out to ask and they said I thought you already left. I never had paperwork so why would I leave ? Overall the wait time was horrendous. 2.5 total hours from when I showed up to check in at 345 pm until I walked out

This was the second visit I had to have at your facility. And the first time was May 2017 I ended up having a total ACL reconstruction. Absolutely beautiful. I literally have a new knee because of it. I was very happy with Dr. Edward Ashman and his transparency and honesty. He made the right decision for me not to have surgery on my left shoulder. If I did have surgery it would’ve made everything else worse. So I am grateful again for his honesty and transparency. Very kind and approachable doctor and staff.

Good part was he got me right in. Bad part was he rushed, no empathy for the pain I am in, referred me to former surgeon. I won’t be back.

Very condescending, doesn’t remember any basic things about you. Does not know about something proactive like getting a continuous ice machine post surgery. I had to ask for it and he said he doesn’t know and to ask his MA about it. No help for a Friday surgery. Didn’t leave clear post op orders at the hospital, so my PT was delayed for 1.5 days. Even on 2nd post op visit he still didn’t know what I did for a living ( which makes a huge difference for recovery and when to return to work). He insisted twice that my husband wanted my second surgery asap, when he never met my husband. I did address his attitude on the first time it happened, and he did apologize. Comparing notes with other people and staff that work with him gave the same feed back. Only nice thing is I have a nice, straight incision.

He’s insensitive arrogant never looked at operated sight what kind of surgeon does that? Never returned any of my phone calls related to what I was experiencing I always left messages and NEVER received call back I will report him to the Board!!! I told my PCP NEVER send any patients to him. He should be banned from direct patient care. I was a Registered Nurse for 20 years and a Respiratory Therapist for 18 years I know how post operative care is VERY important I received nothing from him. I’m going to contact my attorney to take further action after I saw him yesterday, I was an emotional wreck. Did I mention that the first time I saw him after my surgery on December 14,2022 was on January 24,2023 I went to the office expecting him to at least look at the surgical site and he NEVER did. I tell you the same thing happened on yesterday as far as I am concerned he gives the surgery department, the United Healthcare Insurance and the most important people, the PATIENTS a TERRIBLE experie

Very personable Came to decision what my issue was immediately Noticed another issue that required my family dr to address that he thought was very important.

I was referred to Dr Taylor for my wrist. He was fine - had s lot of pain w the procedure done. Pain pills were supposed to be called. Couldn't get those another was supposed to be called in and thay were not!! Couln't get to sleep because of pai !

Not sure what to say because I was given an injection of something that was supposed to help in some way but it didn't hasn't helped at all. It's been 5 days since I saw Dr. Ashman and I'm still in as much pain as I was before I saw Dr.Ashman. I'm also supposed to start physical therapy but I'm in too much pain. So I will call Dr Ashman's office after I send this email and see how I am helped, then I'll rate my experience

I wish I would have been given a more realistic picture of recovery after surgery. I should have been advised to take a week off work; and I wish I had been told I would be taking painkillers every day for 5 weeks. I did not expect to be in so much pain.

Absolutely the best arthroscopic surgeon in Las Vegas. He did a great job on my rotator cuff and also repairing my completely torn Tricep. If you are looking for the best, you found him!!

I have been in knee pain for years. I visited Dr. Ashman and after injections that didn’t work I asked if we could do knee replacement. He said that was the right decision and he couldn’t have been more right. I’m doing great, I’m very thankful and pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Ashman for Total Knee Replacement.

Never got to see him. They were 10 minutes after my appointment time getting me to the exam room. At one hour after appointment time I decided I was not important to them and left. I may be old but I am not retired. I do not have time to wait in a doctors office for someone to get around to me. It's not likely I will be back. I'll find an Orthopedic office that treats their patients like they are important.

I got a cortisone shot in both arms three weeks ago and my right arm still hurts. Why? Was it a bad shot? Was it in the wrong place on my arm? I don’t know, it just hurts still...three weeks later.

I love Dr, Ashman and his staff. Very professional, yet very warm and relaxing. Not to mention he has had to do two shoulder surgeries that went so well therapy was not really needed.

He was to the point! Showed me the Xray, explained, prescribed! Even if it doesn't completely heal, he didn't mess around, hey! I'm old. Now it's my part to follow it up. Thank you!

Listened to my concerns

Very clear with diagnosis, instruction, & prognosis. Best part: he encouraged questions. His assistant was also very personable & professional.

He seemed very concerned. And wanted to make sure I was able to get what I needed to help relieve my pain and more use of my right arm. I had an outed MRI & he ordered a new one immediately. It took 6 months to get one when I was under workmen’s comp in 2018 & my lawyers had to fight for that! Smdh! So I thank him for obviously knowing where to start & caring enough to do so.

I waited an hour before they told Ashman couldn’t see because I have attorney involved in a slip and fall. And now I have to wait until September to see Dr Kim. Worst experience ever!

The dr. was great, he listened to my issues informed me of what could be done an if I was still having issues after 3 wk to come back and we will go from there.

It’s been approximately 6 weeks since my procedure. I have found Dr. Ackerman very knowledgeable and willing to take his time to discuss any questions I have had. I’m very satisfied with my shoulder results.

I have to say that my problem wasn't that great, but Dr. came in with a diagnosis and was ready to move on to the next patient. Could hear him talking about a patient outside the door, full issues. Not professional, needs a more secure area in which to tell his staff personal information about his patients.

In my opinion, best in Las Vegas! Would go anywhere else. His staff is also, Top Notch!

Dr Ashman was very professional, he is brief in his consultations, He is a busy man, and he might come off as not caring to some people hence some of the bad reviews. One review complained he canceled their surgery because they showed up More than an hour after they were supposed to be there, well of course they canceled, there is a lot of pre-operation prep to do. He was very courteous to me and the surgery center staff were excellent/caring! Knee doesn’t even hurt day after surgery.

Disappointed! Felt like a number, not a patient. Dr. Ashman spent a quick 2 minutes clarifying my X-ray. He was clear and easy to understand-The reason I chose a poor assessment, not terrible. I am also a medical professional. I give my patients the due diligence they deserve. When I found myself having to call him back from the door on 2 different occasions to answer 2/5 questions, I gave up. We are patients because we are suffering traumatic loss of physical abilities. We are scared.

I had a labrum slap tear on my left shoulder. This was my second surgery on that shoulder. It’s was 2006 then and April 15th this time and I’m already surpassed my range of motion then I had when I was labeled maximum medical improvement back in early 2007. I am beyond happy on my surgical procedure

Great Dr., just wish I would had been told about the horrible pain that this surgery incurred,8 days in and i'm still in horrible horrible pain!!

Doctor spent only a minute after a more than 90 minutes past appointment time. Didn’t even look at the MRI disk but only the X-rays done at his facility. Was least interested in the elderly patient and barely glanced at the MRI shoulder report on the phone when asked to. Will not recommend him to anyone and this comes from a physicians wife.

Dr. Ashman gave some great advice and I am doing way better than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Ashman & the surgery. -Mack.
