Dr. Nguyen is Board Certified through the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He is one of the few hand surgeons in the city covering level 2 hand trauma call treatment including but not limited to replantations, fractures, tendon, and nerve injuries. From the elective hand surgical treatment side, he is one of the most progressive and innovative hand surgeons in the area, constantly updating his repertoire of treatment options, ranging from traditional approaches to cutting edge treatments such as all upper extremity joint arthroplasties, reconstruction, and endoscopic carpal tunnel releases.
Dr. Nguyen views the hand as an intricate tool , not only because of its delicate complex structure intimately packaged, but also because of the livelihood and individuality it represents. For this reason, he feels tireless communication is crucial between patient and physician. Only by working as a team for the common goal to understand and develop realistic expectations can we in turn, optimize the highest outcome possible.

Confident, explained why certain options were not appropriate and why. Explained best option with possible second surgery to improve outcome.
Dr. Nguyen seems very knowledgeable, and sent me for further imaging. It felt a bit like I was on an assembly line. (After waiting almost an hour after my assigned appointment time, he was in the room with me for no more than five minutes). But he briefly listed the options of what might be wrong, and I came away confident in his expertise.
I am sure he is fantastic surgeon but unfortunately he took no time with me with the simple everyday issues. He saw the X-ray before he even saw me never once looked at my paperwork knew exactly what it was and we moved on. I am satisfied with the cortisone shot that were given. And the results of that are excellent but to to be seen and diagnosed with arthritis is so common to him but not me. I wouldn't think at my age I would have arthritis and why and what makes it better or worse. I just have so many questions. He did an excellent job and truly that's all that matters. I personally would prefer more "bedside manners".

I was called in the morning asking me to change my appointment time because the doc wanted to leave early. Waited in waiting room 25 min & then in exam room 40 min. Excessive. Would rather have been in large wait room but either way unhappy with wait. Spent about 5 min with doc getting shoulder injection!!!!
