Dr. Nguyen is Board Certified through the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He is one of the few hand surgeons in the city covering level 2 hand trauma call treatment including but not limited to replantations, fractures, tendon, and nerve injuries. From the elective hand surgical treatment side, he is one of the most progressive and innovative hand surgeons in the area, constantly updating his repertoire of treatment options, ranging from traditional approaches to cutting edge treatments such as all upper extremity joint arthroplasties, reconstruction, and endoscopic carpal tunnel releases.
Dr. Nguyen views the hand as an intricate tool , not only because of its delicate complex structure intimately packaged, but also because of the livelihood and individuality it represents. For this reason, he feels tireless communication is crucial between patient and physician. Only by working as a team for the common goal to understand and develop realistic expectations can we in turn, optimize the highest outcome possible.
Dr. Nguyen is very direct and answers all questions about my hand condition. I have had several cortisone shots and he is caring and professional. All shots were administered with minimal discomfort.
Very knowledgeable. I have great confidence in his ability to fix my shoulder,
Kind, knowledgable
April 9 I seen Dr Nguyen, very smart, intelligent, young man and knows his stuff. I'm so happy my primary doctor referred me to him.
Discussion and treatment plan seemed very routine for the doctor. Instead of ordering an MRI to get to the root of the problem NOW I was dismissed with a five page sheet of exercises and a cortisone shot and told to come back in six weeks at which time then we would do an MRI and discuss options which is apparently only surgery- for a problem he “likely” diagnosed at this visit. He then submitted notes on my patient portal claiming we discussed the side effects of the cortisone shot (we did not; I was just told I was going to get it), as well as other discussions which did not take place (perhaps he mixed me up with someone else or his notes are routine, as well). I came here to get my problem diagnosed NOW not six weeks from now. I don’t want to know what it “might be” I want to know what it is and what needs to be done to solve it.
I really appreciate Dr Nguyen. He has been such a help to my arthritic hands. My only "issue" is his demeanor. Although I've been seeing him for several years, he is so aloof, not a warm person by any means.
It was my good fortune to be referred to Dr Nguyen. He’s a highly skillful surgeon who saw me as the whole person. He listened to everything and more than covered all bases. The office staff showed their stellar experience in planning surgeries. They provided superior personal care. I felt like a VIP throughout my appointments and surgery. I guarantee you’ll be impressed with Dr Nguyen. Highly recommend.
Always good visits. Albeit sometimes long wait times before I'm seen for my appointment.
Excellant
I would’ve given a better rating but he came in looked at the crate and explained them then left so quickly I didn’t even have a chance to ask him questions. Way to fast!
