He is an advocate of outpatient spine surgery techniques since this leads to less surgical pain, faster recovery, and a better patient experience.
Dr. Tyndall completed his medical school at New York University, his Orthopedic surgery residency at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and his spine surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City.
Dr. Tyndall is clinical faculty at Indiana University Medical School and serves on the editorial board of SpineUniverse.com. He is actively engaged in the design and development of new spinal surgery techniques and spinal surgery equipment and implants.
Through his work with many spinal implant companies on the development of new spinal surgery technologies and instruments, Dr. Tyndall is a pioneer in the field of minimally invasive, fusion-less spine surgery, and outpatient spine surgery.
Although he is well known for his advanced surgical skills, Dr. Tyndall strongly believes that nonsurgical solutions should be explored first before recommending surgery.
Wonderful experience
Told me to go to PT and take meds to help with my pain instead of trying to fix the problem. Not helpful. Waste of time and money.
Great job
The doctor was very personable and explained my situation with details that I understood.
Absolutely one of the finest humans in the world! I wish I would have known about Dr Tyndall and his incredible staff years ago. After over a decade of dealing with way too many doctors, surgeons and procedures I'm finally regaining my quality of life, mental well being and living almost completely pain free in an incredibly short period of time.
I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Dwight S. Tyndall. He changed my work status report without re-evaluating me, which significantly impacted my ability to receive proper accommodations. When I questioned him about it, he stated that he did so because he didn’t know whether my employer had light-duty work available. This reasoning makes no sense—most jobs have some form of light duty, and if he was unsure, why didn’t he ask instead of making assumptions? This decision caused unnecessary stress and complications in my recovery process. I would not recommend him due to his lack of communication and failure to properly assess my situation before making such an important chang
Doesn't listen to the patient. I told him where my pain was an he said "you'll have it the rest of your life, and didn't offer any other options"
5 stars. Dr. Tyndall is very pleasant, as is his whole staff.
They took x-rays, he touched my back said no fractures and my back is in alignment then told me to see a chiropractor and said you'll make a full recovery. And sent me on my way.
He didn't listen to me when I explained the pain I was in
