I sought a second opinion for hearing loss and daily ear discomfort, hoping for specialized care from Dr. Drew Locandro. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. After explaining my persistent ear pain, particularly in one ear, he dismissed it as typical hearing loss without exploring further or conducting additional tests beyond the routine audiology exam. Instead, he quickly recommended hearing aids and ended the visit without offering other solutions, referrals, or follow-up guidance. The entire consultation felt rushed and impersonal. I left with only a hearing test report and no clear path forward for addressing my discomfort. As a young Black man being cared for by an elderly white doctor, I felt a lack of empathy and genuine interest in my concerns. His dismissive approach left me in tears, forcing me to seek another opinion, preferably from an African American doctor who will take my concerns seriously. I cannot recommend Dr. Locandro to anyone!
