He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross before receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. Douglas J. Moran, M.D., completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, followed by a prestigious fellowship in Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he holds active memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Douglas J. Moran, M.D., has an extensive background in athletic care, serving as a Team Physician for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays), a former physician for the United States Freestyle Ski Team, and an attending team doctor for numerous local high schools. He is affiliated with Concord Hospital, New London Hospital, Catholic Medical Center, and the Orthopaedic Surgery Center, and he also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Colby-Sawyer College.
