Dr. Kohl completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. There he was awarded the Lawrence L. At the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, he completed an advanced fellowship in medical and surgical glaucoma. He has been in private practice at Eye Associates of Boca Raton since 2004 and is the youngest member to have been awarded partnership.
Dr. Kohl offers the latest advancements in glaucoma and cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Kohl is board certified and a member of numerous organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Glaucoma Society, and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
He is a past Vice President of the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society and an Associate Councilor for the Glaucoma Research Foundation.
Aside from publishing and presenting research on glaucoma, he has received honors from the GFWC Royal Women’s Club as a Doctor of Distinction nomine, 2007-09; Florida Super Doctors, South Florida Edition, 2008-09; and Castle Connolly Top Doctor, 2012. Dr. Kohl also enjoys volunteer work as a cataract surgeon for the international organization Surgical Eye Expeditions and more locally as chairman of the Gift of Sight Day for the Caridad Center.
Outside of his commitment to helping others, Dr. Kohl enjoys making great memories with his wife and daughter, golfing, and snow skiing.
