Dr. Hartzler received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and he also completed a general surgery internship with Hennepin County General Hospital in Minneapolis. Dr. Hartzler later performed his orthopedic residency with Maricopa Medical Center Department of Surgery in Phoenix. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the Maricopa County Medical Society and the Arizona Medical Association.
