Dr. Dominic L. Van Nielen, M.D., completed his undergraduate degree at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. While there, he competed on the multiple national championship winning MSU cycling team. Following graduation, Dr. Van Nielen served as a general orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. Navy for five years, providing world class musculoskeletal care to active-duty service members and their dependents in Japan, Southern California, and Spain. He separated from the Navy in 2022 to complete his fellowship training in total joint replacement at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland.

I had knee replacement in April. This morning at PT my therapist noticed a spot in my incision that didn't look right. I took a picture and sent it to Dr Van Nielen via MyChart and he called me right away to come in so he could check it out. No waiting or worrying!
