My son(5 months) was referred by his pediatrician for eczema and they called to make an appointment which was nearly 2 months out and then we get in there and she doesn’t examine him hardly at all. She told me to get him dressed and didn’t even look his body over. She told me there is no cure for eczema(we already knew that) and wasn’t sure what I wanted her to do with him being so little. If there’s nothing she could do then why bother wasting our time knowing how old he was when I made the appt? I am purely dumbfounded by our experience after reading such great reviews.

Waited months for an appointment to hear " I don't know what's wrong". Over an hour wait for a 5 minute appointment. Really?

I've been going to her for a few years and she is the only one who got my psoriasis under control. She does a good job and she knows what she's doing!

I didn’t feel there was any good bed side manner. She seemed very distant, and wasn’t really listening to what I was saying. I felt my sentences were being cut short with her responses. I feel she treated me without properly examination. I felt rushed and truly just like a number. I had even forgotten to bring up a couple of concerns I had that I spoke with her nurse about because it was so rushed. I don’t believe I will be back.

Dr. Dolores Lucas received her medical doctorate degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center, New York City, in 1995. Upon completion of two years in a Dermatology Residency at SUNY (New York City), Dr. Lucas completed her Dermatology training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in 1998. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Lucas was a contributing author for the landmark textbook Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology in General Medicine (5th Edition). Dr. Lucas has also contributed numerous publications to the medical literature and has made many academic presentations in the field of dermatology. She is Board-Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. Her professional memberships include the Tennessee Medical Association and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
After completing her Dermatology training, Dr. Lucas was offered a faculty position at Vanderbilt. However, she chose to begin the rewarding career of private practice and joined Dickson Medical Associates in 2000. Dr. Lucas has been a shareholder and a member of the DMA Board of Directors since 2007.
