Dr. Dierick R. Sparks, M.D., is a highly credentialed Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a subspecialty in Sports Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) (UAB School of Medicine, 2001) and his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology (Cum Laude from Auburn University, 1998). Dr. Sparks completed his Residency and Internship in Orthopedic Surgery at the UAB Department of Orthopedic Surgery (2001–2006) and a specialized Fellowship at the Alabama Sports Medicine Institute (2006–2007).
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He is an active staff member at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Riverview Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Sparks currently provides medical coverage for athletic teams at Jacksonville State University, Gadsden City High School, and Coosa Christian School.
