Dr.Jones is amazing! We traveled from Sylacauga to Grandview to see him because everyone husband seen in Sylacauga wouldn't help him. Dr.Jones went above and beyond to help so thankful for him.

I liked Dr Jones and his personality very much but the time I waited was unacceptable. First, the receptionist had me wait over 30 minutes before being checked in despite all the online crap I had to do prior to arrival. She checked 3 people in who signed in after me and appt time was after mine. Then I waited another 35 minutes before being before being called back, another 25 min in the room waiting for Dr. Dr Jones finally came in and spent about 10 minutes with me. He told me that all he could offer me was a total knee replacement. Although he had a great personality, he offered me no explanation or education about the procedure. He said that when the pain became too much that I should come back for it. Don’t know if I expected too much, was aggravated due to the wait or if he was trying to get caught up but I was made to feel invisible.

Dr. Dewey H. Jones has been a respected orthopaedic surgeon practicing in the Birmingham area for the last 19 years. When he finished his residency in 2000, he joined his father’s orthopaedic practice at Brookwood Orthopedics. He has most recently been in practice at Powell & Jones Orthopedics Center, which he formed In 2014 with his father and Dr. Thomas Powell. We are delighted to have him associate with our group. Dr. Jones offers his expertise in treating adult and pediatric patients with musculoskeletal conditions. He also offers treatment in sports medicine, arthritis, and workers’ comp. Dr. Jones has an interest in arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques of the shoulder and knee.
Dr. Jones graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS in Molecular Biology in 1991. He received his medical degree from the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine at Birmingham in 1995. His Orthopaedic training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee was completed in 2000. Dr. Jones’ training included trauma training in Davos, Switzerland, pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and care of amateur and professional athletes at Froedert Sports Medicine Clinic.
The son of an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Jones has enjoyed a lifetime of exposure to orthopaedic care. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys playing golf and skiing when he is not busy in the operating room.
