Dr. Devon “Fritz” Kuhlmann, D.O., is a family medicine physician with a strong background in rural and emergency care. He completed his Family Medicine Residency through Sutter Health’s Amador Rural Program, where he served as Chief Resident, gaining broad experience in adult and pediatric care, inpatient and outpatient medicine, and emergency medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences – COMP Northwest in Lebanon, Oregon, and his undergraduate degree from Western Washington University.
Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Kuhlmann served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman with the Fleet Marine Force, providing medical care in high-risk and resource-limited environments. His diverse training and procedural experience allow him to bridge the gap between primary care and emergency medicine—an important asset for rural communities.
“Dr. Kuhlmann’s training in primary and emergency care aligns well with the needs of rural healthcare,” said Jen Doty, CEO of Sidney Health Center. “By living and working in the community, he adds another layer of continuity and access to care across both clinic and emergency settings.”
“I am passionate about rural healthcare and providing accessible, comprehensive care close to home,” said Dr. Kuhlmann. “I look forward to building relationships with patients and becoming an active part of the Sidney community.”
