Dr. Deborah Friedman was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She went to Baruch College in NYC on a full academic scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in English. She went on to complete a year of medical research on childhood leukemia at Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
She went to medical school at Tel Aviv University where she met her husband, Ryan. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University at Buffalo and Nassau University Medical Center.
She has been working as a physiatrist at PDR since 2012. Prior to PDR, she was working as an inpatient and outpatient physiatrist at Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. At PDR her focus has been on treating spine and musculoskeletal conditions.

My goal is to make their battles easier, restore function, and improve quality of life. I am passionate about helping patients regain control. I believe in taking time to listen, treating the whole person, and working as a team to help people reach their goals.”
Dr. Deborah Friedman lives in Minneapolis with her husband Ryan, an emergency medicine physician, and their two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, painting, writing, traveling and being active outdoors.
