Rotator cuff surgery went great. I had minimal pain after. He was very educated on the surgery and explained everything to me very well. Great bedside manner and was very open and honest with answering questions. He also is very thorough with the recovery process and making sure you are healing properly.

Dr. Varkey is an amazing surgeon. He has fixed both my shoulders. Recovery was easy, with pain very manageable. I am truly amazed by his expertise. I look forward to kayaking and gardening again.

This visit I felt much more comfortable and rather hopeful with our conversation! Dr. Varkey seemed rather relaxed, was professional, he was open and welcoming, as well as confirming. We had an open conversation about the progress of my leg. He even congratulated me about losing weight due to my previous inquiry of it supporting my recovery (and just needed for good health in general). I was prepared to ask for a referral if I didn't feel confident with this appointment. I did not need to do so. I feel comfortable and confident that Dr. Varkey will use his surgical expertise to help rebuild my leg. Although I am a little nervous about the procedure and recovery, I do NOT feel freaked out!! And am looking forward to putting this behind me pretty soon. I appreciate how endearing he was during this visit. Also, I am glad about his willingness to see if he can work out timing and such with my other doctor regarding a pending surgery with her.

After two shoulder replacements, I highly recommend Dr. Varkey. He and his team delivery excellent care. Very accessible 7 days per week. Always listen and deliver great care. Thorough and explain everything. Highly Recommend.

I had my knee scoped. Dr Varkey explained the process, expectations, and possible results. He answered all my questions in terms anyone would understand. He put me at ease with his explanations. He suggested therapy to possibly avoid surgery which unfortunately did not help in my situation. Everything has gone great. Other than one more scheduled office visit, I hope I never have to see him professionally again, but I would return to him, if needed.

Staff was horrible! Dr. Varkey was out of the office. No one called me prior to the appointment, then didn’t tell me when I arrived. They gave me forms to complete and took my payment, 35 minutes into my wait I made inquiry with the front desk. Staff got defensive when I asked why didn’t they tell me when I checked it! Horrible experience!! My time is valuable too!

I was worried after Dr.Murphy retired about getting another Dr. as good as him and as nice as him . Well I have found him in Dr. Varkey. He is absolutely fabulous! Being a bodybuilder I’m very brutal on rotator cuffs and he had the upmost concern for picking out the right surgery for me and how it would affect me in the future for bodybuilding. Surgery went the best I’ve ever had on my shoulders thanks to Dr. Varkey. He explained everything to me to where I understood what he was doing and after the surgery he showed me pictures and explained everything to me again on a one on one personal level the same Dr. Murphy used to do with me . Thanks Dr. Varkey I really appreciate everything!!

Although I received a text saying that I had a 10am appointment with Dr. Varkey, at 10:48 I saw his PA. After completing medical history forms in the waiting area, that apparently no one looked at because I was asked twice if I’m a diabetic or if I have high blood pressure.

I felt Dr. Varkey was great. He took time to explain things and didn’t make me feel as if he was rushing to see another patient. Very good bedside manner.

Dr. Varkey fixed my knee problem with 2 steroid injections and a knee brace that really helped my get back to playing pickleball. He fixed another family member with a frozen shoulder. He is our go to orthopedist as we get older our joints cannot keep up with our active lifestyle.
