Dr. Dawn Hirokawa, M.D., a Delaware native, is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Premier Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery in April 2023. Prior to joining Premier, Dr. Hirokawa was an attending doctor and the section chief of Dermatology at Christiana Care Health Systems for nine years. Dawn has been my dermatologist for years. She enters the treatment rooms with apparent knowledge of my past treatment and ongoing health. She is efficient with my time and her time. I feel that my skin issues are monitored by Dawn for my best outcome.

Dr. Hirokawa earned her B.A. from Yale University and received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency with Christiana Care Health Systems followed by her dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dedicated to her profession,
Dr. Hirokawa is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has published a number of articles in peer reviewed medical journals and written chapters for dermatology textbooks.
In her free time, Dr. Hirokawa is taking introductory classes in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. She enjoys outdoor activities, especially soccer and winter sports. Dr. Hirokawa also likes to get involved with her community and volunteers where and when she can.
