Growing up in nearby Pensacola, Dr. Thompson is excited to be back on the Gulf Coast. He earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University then went on to obtain his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After graduation he completed his residency training in Urology at the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga where he also served as chief resident. During his chief year he was nominated for the Alper Humanitarian Award which is given to residents who exemplify integrity, compassion, and a passion for community service.
He met his wife, Meg, while in medical school and they recently became parents to a baby boy, Levi. In his free time, Dr. Thompson can be found on the golf course or cheering on his LSU Tigers!
