Dr. S carefully listened to what I had to say and was able to guess some things about me based on my x-rays and symptoms alone without me having to tell him. But when I did tell him my concerns he was able to explain things in a way that I understood and that was not condescending. He actually did an extra test that no other doctor has done before to determine exactly what kind of interventions needed to happen. I’m still scared of surgery but I’m very confident that he will do his best to alleviate those fears..

At 46 years old I was very hesitant to have a hip replacement. I met with many doctors. Something felt different when I met Dr. Schroder. He told me that anatomy and sports had taken their toll and I had fought this long enough. I trusted his diagnosis and he made me feel very comfortable given the circumstances at hand. His friendly demeaner and confidence makes him seem like your guardian angel. The operation and recovery went perfect. I owe this man my livelihood.

A graduate of the US Naval Academy and Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Schroder trained in orthopaedic surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Dr. Schroder has had extensive experience in all areas of orthopaedics during his tenure at Naval Medical Center San Diego, Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan, and most recently as Assistant Department Head and Clinical Operations Officer of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the National Military Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Serving as Commander in the US Navy, Dr. Schroder provided surgical care to our wounded warriors both at home and in Afghanistan as well as executive care for our nation’s leaders of the Pentagon, Congress, and the White House.
