DAVID T. STYN, OD
Dr. David T. Styn joined ECVA in the fall of 2020 with over 20 years of experience. Previously, he practiced in Lewiston, Niagara Falls, and Orchard Park. A Western New York native, Dr. Styn is a graduate of Canisius College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr Styn received his Theraputic certification in 1999. He was published in Review of Optometry, an optometric journal.
Dr. Styn resides in Williamsville with his wife, Julie, and two daughters, Emily and Bella. He is an avid local sports fan. Dr. Styn is an active volunteer in the community, serving on the board of Amherst Girls Softball League and coaching youth softball.

I have been a patient of Dr. Styn for some time. I have noticed that he always devoted the time needed to make sure the he can be throughout examining his patients, and ensures they understand their situation. I always tell people how happy I am to have him take care of my eyes. It's apparent that he is knowledgeable and really cares.
Dr. Stein was terrific. he took the time to address my issues and concerns and explained his what he did and what he found. I have no problem seeing him for my appointments.
Dr. Styn was very thorough and patient. He knew exactly what was going on with my eyesight and I felt very taken care of!

Awful experience will not be returning to ECVA as a patient. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Zero bedside manner. After my initial exam I waited over 30 minutes for him to see me. He was upset I inquired how much longer I would have to wait with the scheduling coordinator. He became defensive when I said I had been waiting and I couldn’t stay much longer. Failing to apologize for being late he simply made excuses saying they were over scheduled for the day and an MD left early. He did not say hello or greet me upon entering the room and had an annoyed demeanor from the start. I was questioned as to why I had an issue seeing when my vision checked out as 20/20. He said my last physician I saw at ecva gave me the wrong Rx for my glasses. He then told me my makeup is getting in my eyes which is causing the blurred vision however I explained when I work from home I do not wear makeup. The whole conversation was accusatory and questions versus trying to understand and be helpful.
Great experience
I have not had such a thorough eye exam in years.
