This was my second time meeting Dr. Slater. The first time was when I accompanied my wife, and the way Dr. Slater explained everything truly impressed me. Today was my first personal appointment with him as his patient. He clearly explained that after my blood work results come in, I will receive the medications I need. When my wife and I went to the pharmacy to pick up our prescriptions, there were a few over the counter medications that Dr. Slater had recommended. We asked the pharmacist for assistance, and after reviewing the information, the pharmacy aide commented, wow, you really do have a good doctor. Most doctors don't provide this level of detailed information. My wife and I are happy to be part of this medical clinic.

I enjoyed speaking with Dr. Sleyter possibly because we are of a similar demographic. As is my interest, he is focus was on in preventative measures and lifestyle intervention and had a dire concern for blood glucose levels and keeping folks out of diabetes and pre-diabetes. I’ll hear more as I believe this is the greatest impact to my over all health. I like his no nonsense approach although some may find it alienating. He seemed to have little sympathy for patients who’ve declined or ignored is advice/experience. I’m inclined to agree with him.
