Dr Schenk and his team provided great service and care. Every appointment was smooth, on time, and professional. I left with an impression that Dr Schenk was one of the most caring doctors I had visited ever. He had no judgment whatsoever about issues like weight and really had a positive view on using medication and other methods to lose weight which ultimately benefits overall health including sleep apnea. While my case was mild, there was no pressure to take on measures beyond what I needed and he provided cost effective and manageable options for me to try. Thank you for taking such great care of your patients!

Dr. Schenk is excellent and helped to diagnose mild sleep apnea and recommended I lose weight. He provided me with reading materials that helped me to greatly improve my diet and lose a significant amount of weight. My sleep has greatly improved and my energy level is as it was a decade ago. Also in general my health is much improved. Thank you Dr. Schenk!

I do not like having to come back for treatment and then waiting 4 more months for diagnosis. It took me 4-5 months to get initial appt. Not happy.

In 1978, he relocated to Texas and served as chairman of the Pulmonary / Critical Care Medicine Department at Wilford Hall Medical Center from 1987 until his retirement from the Air Force in 1993. Prior to retirement, Dr. Schenk was instrumental in establishing a sleep laboratory at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Schenk has published several papers on lung cancer staging. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine.
