They called and scheduled an appointment, I get there and pay my co-pay and then was evaluated by the NP, super nice - Everyone was very nice, but then I was informed that the sleep study was not covered by my insurance. What's was the point. I feel someone should have confirmed before scheduling my appointment.

I was not told to visit your wonderful nurse practitioner. I thought I have the appointment with Dr. Schenk. after waiting for two months to get an appointment. She was great anyway. Will waite to see the results of my test and your recommendations for new or same treatments. Thanks

Unfortunately he needs to retire.
He seemed a little lost and I knew why I was there, to transition my CPAP supplies to Medicare and review my sleep history. I had to remind him not to provide supplies through Sleep One but instead with a Medicare provider. I explained to him about the newest Sleep Apnea procedure called Genio. Dr Schenk appears to be relying on his past routine of questioning and even that was a bit shaky.
Sorry but any future visits will be with a Nurse Practitioner.
