Dr. David Saxton enjoys the variety in orthopedics. He has a strong interest in sports medicine, but also treats general orthopedic needs. As a result, he performs a variety of procedures, including knee and shoulder scopes, fracture repair, knee and shoulder replacements, and ACL reconstruction. As part of his commitment to sports medicine, he provides sideline coverage at area high school games and was Head Team Physician for the OKC Barons.
When it comes to patients, Dr. Saxton treats them as if family, advising them as if they were his own family member. Managing expectations and helping patients to understand what to realistically expect when they have recovered, is absolutely essential to a good outcome.
Dr. Saxton attended the United States Air Force Academy, where during his senior year, he became a national champion in parachuting. He has also spent time as both a jumpmaster and instructor in parachuting. His calm and composed nature may come as a result of all those jumps.
Before becoming a physician, Dr. David Saxton was a hospital administrator, it was during this time socializing with physicians at the hospital, that he first considered becoming a physician himself.
Dr. Saxton and his wife, Dr. Elisa Crouse, enjoy staying active and being outdoors.

Very nice. Very professional. Fixed my right elbow. Now it's time to fix the left. He is the only Dr I would recommend for elbow issues!
I have gone to Dr. Saxton for several years. I trust his judgement.
Had a very nice informative visit. Dr Saxton listens to my questions and concerns and provides easy to understand answers. My wife and I are very thankful we chose him to perform my surgery! Thank you Dr Saxton!
Dr. Saxton is very knowledgeable and he makes it easy to ask questions. I was very pleased with my decision to go with him for my surgery.
Always pleasant, give you all your options and doesn't push you into anything.
Dr. Saxton is very thorough along with excellent at explaining what is going on with your joint. I appreciate his expertise!
Good man, knows how to fix your joints properly and takes the time to explain things to you.
Very professional, but still very personable as well. Enjoyed talking with him and learning something I can do to help with my issues until he can get the VA to give him permission to fix it.
He is an awesome doctor and always explains what's best for me.
Dr. Saxton is experienced, he listens and explains everything and what to expect. I highly recommend him and McBride!
