From the moment Dr. Powell stepped into the room it was apparent that he was in a hurry. He didn’t even introduce himself and it was the first time we were meeting. I basically had to keep asking questions for him to properly explain my situation to me. When I asked a qualifying question he responded with “I already explained that to you.” It felt like he definitely was talking down to me and made me feel less than.

I had questions that I didn’t even get a chance to ask because he breezed in and out in less than a minute. I didn’t complain at the time because I thought he was coming back. He showed no empathy or appearance of caring. I am a self pay and feel like I wasted nearly $300 when I’m having trouble buying groceries right now, but I scheduled this because I’m feeling desperate and made the sacrifice. I am just scheduled for a test later for which I’m sure they will likely want another huge chunk of money.

I enjoyed Dr. Powell. He listened to my needs and even asked me to clarify which problem came after and before my accident. He explained tests that could show if I did damage or if it's allergies. He explained clearly with enlarged charts what could be going on with me without rushing, and answered my questions so I could clearly understand. He referred me for an allergy test and another test to help me resolve multiple issues, all with a nice bedside manner. I really like Dr. Powell as a physician.

Friendly, Knowledgeable and efficient.

Dr Powell showed no interest in discussing my concerns, and spent less than 2 minutes in the room with me. It felt as if I was a burden to him, and that I was wasting his time. He seemed rushed, and annoyed that he had to do his job. As if I had no business sitting in that room. I would have liked to discuss some other concerns, but he ran out of the room before I could get a word out. I am extremely displeased with his behavior. Dr Powell is not a professional, and I will not be returning to Ohio ENT because of him.

His office staff was so nice. So it was strange to have One of the most uncomfortable appointments I have ever had. Doctor could not have been more rude.

Honestly I am a bit annoyed. Tells me to get mineral oil to put in my ears and that its a simple over the counter product. I have went to kroger, walgreens, and even looked on amazon and there is no mineral oil for ears. Also the experience was not the best. Seemed like this issue may come up often enough where they just give you a slip of paper and circle which one is the one you are supposed to do. Whole time with him was like 5 minutes and felt super rushed.

I love Dr. Powell. He is very thorough and straightforward.

Very thorough coming up with the my plan. I'm happy with the overall visit and his knowledge. As well as, the check-in staff and everybody in between. Unfortunately, he's a little cocky. He got impatient / frustrated answering my questions. To his credit he answered them. Unfortunately, not all of us patients speak doctor. So he had to repeat some answers. Next time, I will read up thoroughly on ENT jargon and lingo. So when he spits out all the information at me. I can actually understand what he's saying.

He is always in a hurry. His exam was limited to examining my nose, but did not examine my throat or ears. His staff is amazing!

I picked the right Doc!! Very happy!

He just couldn’t come off his book learned definitions of symptoms to hear what I was experiencing. No personality (bed side manner) at all. We’ve been patients of both Dr Lowery senior and Dr Lowery junior. We’ll be moving on now to find someone else. Dr Lowery senior took care of my children starting 50 years ago. I saw Dr Lowery junior just two years ago for myself.

He’s so kind and his staff is very efficient.

I seen the lady Dr Powell sends you too to check for acid reflux. I wish I knew her name but this office is great! Dr Powell does not play with things either. My mom died of oral sinus cancer, after she died I had things checked out and I had a cyst on my sinus. My mom’s Dr wanted to watch it and see if it grew! Dr Powell said, how about we not and took it out along with a sinus clean out. Luckily the cyst was nothing but the sinus clean out he did has changed my life. This was in 2009. I still see him clearly to this day

Dr Powell communicated well, took time to presented my options and discuss them with me. He has a great, cohesive team approach within his practice!

Friendly and cares for patients

I felt he was Dismissive to me. He barely spoke with me today’s visit.

I was disappointed in this visit, my first.I made the appointment due to persistent blockage in my ears and pain in right ear down the right side of my head. I was also concerned that my hearing had declined and had testing. After a 35 min wait in the exam room, Dr Powell came in and showed me the testing held it up far off where I could not read it. He gave very simple explanations about how you get fluid in the ears, which I felt were condescending as if I was a child. He looked in my ears and recommended allergy testing. He spent maybe 7 mins with me. He seemed rushed and not interested. He did not ask if I had questions but I asked about the testing and he said “Well Ma’am I don’t know. You’ll have to wait and see”. He never addressed my pain concerns. I was taken aback and frankly just wanted to get out of there.

Very impressed. Took time to go over a plan and answered all of my questions. Kind, up front and someone I can have confidence in.

You do sometimes have to wait because he gives each patient the attention they deserve. I’ve been going to Dr. Powell for years. I’ve had bilateral sinus surgery, septo-rhinoplasty and cosmetic procedures done. I don’t trust anyone else to do any type of cosmetic procedure on my face. Dr. Powell is straightforward and honest with cometic procedures and doesn’t overdo it, resulting in a natural look. I highly recommend him.
