Dr Poon along with all of the technicians in his office who provide scans, administer drops, set up rooms for review, diagnostic and hands on examination provided excellent professionalism in the course of my examination today. The people at the front desk were also extremely polite, thorough and efficient in their review of my insurance, identification, coverage upon intake as well as follow up and scheduling of my next appointment in six months time. The professionalism, kindness, enthusiasm and sincerity of all of the staff was gratifying and comforting to me. I recommend VitreoRetinal Consultants to everyone.

Dr. David Poon graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in Biology from Harvard College. He then earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. After medical school, he completed both his ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital- Wilmer Eye Institute. Following his fellowship, Dr. Poon and his family moved back to New York to practice near his hometown.
Dr. Poon is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been awarded research grants from both the Johns Hopkins Hospital- Wilmer Eye Institute and the National Institute of Health.
