I love Dr.Poon, He always makes me comfortable and he shows just how much that he cares about the care that I am receiving from him. He makes sure that I see and understand the results of what he is doing for me. He always ask me if I have any questions. He always greets me with a smile. I always leave comfortable and NEVER EVER in pain. I am always telling anyone if they need a retinal specialist that Dr. Poon is the BEST!!!

Dr. David Poon graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in Biology from Harvard College. He then earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. After medical school, he completed both his ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital- Wilmer Eye Institute. Following his fellowship, Dr. Poon and his family moved back to New York to practice near his hometown.
Dr. Poon is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been awarded research grants from both the Johns Hopkins Hospital- Wilmer Eye Institute and the National Institute of Health.
