I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Markel and his amazing front office staff. Today my 17 years old woke up with a high fever, and when I called the office, they immediately scheduled us for a 10:00 am appointment. We were so grateful to be seen so quickly. Dr. Markel is always kind, caring and professional. He takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and makes both parents and patients feel comfortable. He has been my children’s pediatrician since they were born, and throughout all these years, he has consistently provided exceptional care. We are incredibly thankful for Dr. Markel and his entire team. I highly recommend this practice to any family looking for a pediatrician who genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr. Markel David, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician with a passion for helping children and families.
He earned his medical degree with honors from Columbia Medical School, where he was awarded the William Watson prize for outstanding student in Pediatrics. He then completed his residency at Columbia University’s Babies and Children’s Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Before medical school, Dr. Markel conducted nutrition and obesity research at Rockefeller University under the mentorship of Drs. Jules Hirsch and Rudy Leibel.
Dr. Markel is a graduate of Penn State University, where he studied Microbiology and performed in theater and modern dance in his free time. He grew up not far from Pittsburgh in Aliquippa, PA, with five brothers and sisters. He is now a father to twin boys and, in his free time, he enjoys attending Broadway shows, listening to Ella Fitzgerald, and cooking up his famous salted caramels.
