I have never in my life felt so disregarded by someone meant to help me. He literally walked into my room, made no attempt to introduce himself, and stayed as far away from me as possible. The first thing he said when he walked in the room was “I think you just need physical therapy. I’m gonna write you a script for that and for a pack of Prednisone for the pain.” Confused as to why I would need steroids, I asked what the purpose of taking steroids was and his response remained the same. Not once did he examine me, not once did he say what he saw or didn’t see in my X-rays, not once did he physically touch me in any capacity. Not to mention, when I tried to show him what areas of my feet hurt, he leaned toward me but from across the room. I have never felt so disgusted leaving a doctor’s office. I don’t know if it was disregard because of the type of insurance I have or just flat out racism, I just know I will never go back here again.
