I would like a sixth star for Dr Jones! 😁I used to get my injection from another doctor and it was extremely painful!!! Now I have no pain at all, whatsoever when he is doing the injections for my carpal tunnel and arthritis in my thumb. He is a miracle worker!

Dr. Jones listens to my concerns and gives me options. I have a trigger finger and he said we could operate or I could try a cortizone shot. I chose to try shot first, he said it would be uncomfortable but he was very comforting and talked me through it. Set up a appointment in a month, said if shot worked I could cancel appointment. I can't say enough good things about him. Looking for a hand doctor you can't go wrong with him.

David B. Jones Jr., MD About Dr. Jones Dr. Jones grew up two hours west of Sioux Falls in Platte. His interest in hand surgery was sparked after experiencing a hand injury himself while working on a farm during high school. He was also inspired by the story of Dr. Paul Brand, a hand surgeon who worked with leprosy patients in India developing many tendon transfers and other reconstructive procedures to restore their hand function.
As a hand surgeon, Dr. Jones’ focus is on addressing problems of the hand and upper extremity including nerve compression syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome; arthritis of the hand, wrist and elbow including joint reconstruction and replacement procedures; overuse syndromes; traumatic injuries to the bones, tendons, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels; infections and tumors; and congenital differences of the upper extremity.
Dr. Jones has published multiple scientific and clinical research papers and articles in the peer-reviewed hand and orthopedic surgery literature, as well as been an invited presenter at national and regional meetings.
Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys on outdoor adventures, playing and watching sports, reading books and participating in church and school activities.
