From Dr. Jones
‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ and ‘the best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered’ are two principles that have been ingrained in me and continue to influence my approach to caring for patients. I enjoy working together with patients to optimize and restore their function and quality of life by addressing their injury or pain with individualized, non-operative and operative treatment options and ultimately seeing them get back to the life and activities that they love.

About Dr. Jones
Dr. Jones grew up two hours west of Sioux Falls in Platte. His interest in hand surgery was sparked after experiencing a hand injury himself while working on a farm during high school. He was also inspired by the story of Dr. Paul Brand, a hand surgeon who worked with leprosy patients in India developing many tendon transfers and other reconstructive procedures to restore their hand function.
As a hand surgeon, Dr. Jones’ focus is on addressing problems of the hand and upper extremity including nerve compression syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome; arthritis of the hand, wrist and elbow including joint reconstruction and replacement procedures; overuse syndromes; traumatic injuries to the bones, tendons, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels; infections and tumors; and congenital differences of the upper extremity.
Dr. Jones has published multiple scientific and clinical research papers and articles in the peer-reviewed hand and orthopedic surgery literature, as well as been an invited presenter at national and regional meetings.
Outside of work, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys on outdoor adventures, playing and watching sports, reading books and participating in church and school activities.

He is a very pleasant and helpful Doctor. Only one little complaint. I had a 8:30 appointment and it was almost 20 when I saw the Dr. he had some appointments that took much longer than he thought they would. He did apologize and thank me for my patience. Only thing is they could have maybe told me that he was really behind so I didn’t think that they had just forgotten to see me. Very hood doctor and I am very pleased to have him as my physician.
Always greets me when I come in and listens to what the problem is. Never rushes me or pushes me along. Top notch Dr.
