Wait time was a little long but the service was great

Dr. Griffin was very knowledgeable and explained my care plan very well. He took the time to listen. His staff was very caring and helpful. Would definitely recommend him to anyone. And this was my first visit.

He is a good doctor. But I only spoke to him once. His nurse told me wrong information about my treatment multiple times and then after I left had to call me and tell me something different, which could have been avoided if dr. Griffin actually respected my time enough to show up.

I was very lucky to have Dr Griffin as my trauma surgeon, as I was like Humpty Dumpty as a 5000 piece puzzle. He is thorough, caring, well trained, gifted and answers my questions. Dr Griffin continues to see me once a year or as needed to check my healing progress and new bone growth.

I really wish as the patient I knew he performed the surgery, because a lot of pain and healing could have went smoother but he performed a miracle with me for sure. They didn’t think I was gone make it after being shot about 10 times. My femur was shattered and he definitely had to put humpy dumpy back together again and I came out the other side a totally different person. Im thankful for his gifted hands because it wasn’t just a leg my life was on the line because of that leg and I’m still here with my baby girls living life and in good spirits!!

After a trip to Huntsville ER, my xrays were viewed by Dr Griffin, and an appointment was made. After seeing the doctor he explained he was referring me to another Dr in the same building. Why did he even waste my time? He could have just referred me to begin with. Instead, I had to take a day off work, sit for a few hours in a crowded waiting room, only to be told absolutely nothing. I'm not impressed

It would have been so easy for Dr. Griffin to have blown in, said I needed a hip replacement, and have left in a few minutes. Instead he took plenty of time to go through pros and cons and left the final decision to me. I felt I had the information I needed to make a truly informed decision (which was to wait on the hip replacement for now). His time and explanation was thoroughly appreciated.

Wait time was quite long but more convenient for me in Madison than Huntsville because of living in the Shoals area .

Well I didn’t get to meet him , the PA was nice when she told me I needed a total hip replacement. Disappointed I didn’t get to meet the doc considering I am 48 and this is very difficult to comprehend.

Only complaint is that ER assigned me to Dr Griffin and I only got to see two different PA’sfor the first three visits although I had strongly requested to see Dr Griffin. Only got to see him on last visit after firm request. PA’s appeared very qualified as well as personable, but, since one of the broken bones was not healing properly, we felt a need to see THE doctor.

He was just ok, didn't make me feel like I was a priority just another consult that left me with questions whether or not I needed surgery or not on my broken scapula, he didn't;'t even evaluate my mobility or check the arm for bruises. After a traumatic car accident, clear answers could be helpful, specially when you already feel vulnerable by not being in your home state.

Too busy. The doctor too booked I just want my cast off so I can have my restrictions lifted so I can go back to work but I dont want to sit in the office for hours if my appointment is at 2:30 why do i wait over a hour and 45 mins and i still have 6 people in front of me. Very unprofessional

Never seen a doctor. Going to get a second opinion because I called 2 other orthopedic doctors and they stated I should have never left with out my leg being out in a cast. No testing was ran and was told we had no reason to worry with torn muscles and ligaments.

Dr. Griffin performed my total hip replacement and I am ecstatic with the results. I was up and walking within hours of the surgery and walk completely unassisted after two weeks. I am sleeping wonderfully now since my hip pain is gone. Dr. Griffin is the best!!

I was in a horrible car accident & My ankle was shattered. My ankle detached from my leg bone which was shattered as well. Dr Griffin pieced all of my bones back together and now my bones in my ankle and leg are completely healed. The process was Not easy, but he and his team helped me get through some of the toughest parts of this process. Now, I am doing physical therapy for my ankle joints. I should be back to dancing soon!

Dr. Griffin is a wonderful doctor and a very kind and caring person! He was referred by a friend and I'm so grateful.

Never actually saw him but his nurse practitioner prescribed me medication I was allergic to even after informing/ reminding them of my allergy. Then they replaced one of the medications with another one I was allergic to. Experience was rushed and was not listened to.

I came in expecting to be scheduled for hip replacement surgery. But after looking at new xrays, Dr Griffin prescribed Physical Therapy instead. Yaahh!! Who wants to be in any hospital with assorted killer flu bugs these days! Dr Griffin is a terrific surgeon, but also a wise man.

Dr. Griffin spent a lot of time listening to me and sharing advice. I wasn't just another number. The only problem was that it took over an hour to be seen. It could have been a busy day. He's a good doctor.

I came to Dr Griffin in dire need of a repair to my left arm. My previous surgery had not worked and I was sent to Dr. Griffin for him to review the xrays and determine if he felt he could repair the unusual break of my arm. He knew immediately what procedure could be the best for my situation. I’m thankful for his concern and confidence the procedure he preformed was successful. I’m in the last Part of the healing process and I am steadily improving each day.

I am pleased to note that Dr. Griffin and staff have an very efficient operation. My appointment was at 8:30 am. I had x-rays, Doctor consultation and an injection and was headed home at 9:00 am.

I received great care from Dr. Griffin and was walking, unassisted (but carefully with my husband by my side) 11 days after hip replacement surgery. The staff on the orthopedic floor took fabulous care of me after surgery. I cannot say enough good things about my night shift nurse. She was kind, caring and a former surgical patient of Dr. Griffin. He was her trauma surgeon after she was in a car accident which required extensive hip surgery. When I have to get my other hip replaced, I will return to Dr. Griffin!

This was my first time to see Dr. Griffin and he was patient, he listened and asked questions. I left with the hope of getting some answers which had not happened with the other doctors I had seen for my leg problems. We are not finished, however, after seeing doctors for the past 16 months, I feel better about my future outcome! He is a very nice man, has personality and showed concern for my well-being.

There was a little delay in scheduling the surgery, both the time AND the place, due to COVID-19-related issues. The staff managed all obstacles, ultimately setting a tight time-line: calling me on a Thursday to set lab work on Friday for surgery on Monday in Madison, which was a first.

Dr. Griffin is an excellent surgeon. I hurt myself really bad, then something terrible happened and I had to return to surgery 11 days later. I met with him today for follow up. He said I am doing great. If all goes well I will see him again in six months. If I have problems, I can call to see him sooner. I would recommend him to anyone who has the type of injury I sustained, needing a total reverse shoulder replacement. I'm so grateful. I will never be 100% (like before my injury) but I am healed beyond expectation. Today he told me I am doing great! Thank you Dr. Griffin, you are appreciated by me, my husband, and my mom!

I think that the Griffin is a nice considered a judge free type doctor unlike some of the staff at toc I rated Doctor Griffin at a 4 because he knows what it is to be universal to get what you received and give it back at the same time. As I was referring to other staff members at toc who seem to have complications with universal receiving and giving of properly greeting to patients as it is required for good customer service skills to be put in place which a lot of them are lacking very much.

Our experience so far with Dr. Griffin has been excellent. He listened to all of our concerns and explained how he thought beat to proceed. Much better experience than have had before with other physicians. I appreciate his patience and kindness with my daughter.

Fantastic surgeon with a great bed side manner.

To this point, I haven't had surgery yet on a left knee that is trending that direction; however, Dr Griffin has been very professional in administering my injections on a routine basis of every three to four months. Takes the time to discuss the x rays and offers advice about the eventual necessity for the surgery. Offers the advice to put off this type of surgery until the injections are no longer effective.

Didn't mean to hit poor, however, I have never met with him with my knee problem. I've met with his nurse. I have been in several times regarding my brace to get it adjusted (the $900 one and the young lady I saw today (Manie) is the only one that told me how to wear the brace AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, TOLD ME I DID NOT HAVE TO REMOVE IT WITH VELCRO THAT i SHOULD LEAVE THE VELCRO BE AND USE THE BRACE SNAPS. BUT, i LOVE ALL THE DOCTOR'S THAT I have had experience with EXCEPT Michael Cantrell!!

So glad he was available to put my 3 yr old hip replacement back into place! I had never seen him before, so appreciative for his expertise, I recommend him.

Knowledgeable, thorough and attentive. I only wish I could have seen him for all 4 visits during this fracture recovery time. Although I was referred to him directly after visiting ER for my fracture back in Nov 2019, apparently it was his nurse Kandace who attended to me for the first three appointments. It was only in this final appt that I got to meet w Dr Griffin. I am thankful nevertheless for the teams’ efforts in getting me thru this recovery successfully and back on my feet!
