I am very disappointed in the nursing staff I was told by Dr. France to ask to speak to the nurse whenever I have a sinus infection and he would call me in a prescription this only worked one time in seven years I called on Tuesday to make an appointment and asked to speak to the nurse I did speak to the nurse but she did nothing I miss three days of work if I could’ve talk to the nurse and got a prescription I would’ve only missed two days I’m very disappointed and I’m thinking about looking for a new doctor thank you and have a good day

My 22 month old went to Dr.Frank for a follow up on his tubes. At the time of the appt my child had just finished 10 days of antibiotics (Cefdinir) for an ear infection. The nurses were made aware of this and so was the doctor. He came in and observed that he had an infection in the left ear that was cause a green discharge. He proceeded to prescribe my child the same antibiotic that he had been on for the last 10 days. When I called called the office to dispute this, because he went to the appointment with father the nurse proceeded to tell me that they were made aware of that antibiotic he was on and that I was to give my child the medicine prescribed. The issue here is that you don’t have to me a doctor to know that clearly that antibiotic was not working. To be told by a nurse that regardless of that I am to give him that antibiotic is ASININE. As a specialist you would think it would know that.

I think Dr. Franz is a great doctor but the wait to see him is crazy. I’ve seen him on four occasions and have always waited 30 to 60 minutes after my appointment to get in. His schedule is double booked and maybe even triple booked.

He was very very good with my two year old. Even with getting her tubes at 9 months. I definitely recommend him!

The receptionist was curt and short when a suggestion was made to please notify patients that only the patient was allowed in the waiting room due to COVID. She then said that she personally called the patient and advised them of the restriction which was not true. The only communication received before the patent arrived at the office was a text the day before which read "ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery Center?Spotsylvania Appt: Thu, ............. Questions? 540--371-1226 Reply STOP to block" There was also no sign on the office door or reception window with such notification as well. Then after a 30-minute wait, the patient was advised that the doctor was running behind and that there were two patients still ahead of her. The opportunity to reschedule or cancel was offered. The patient requested to cancel the appointment and let the receptionist know she would call back if she wanted to set another appointment.

Dr. Franz is an amazing doctor. He makes you feel like you are the only patient he has. He never seems in a rush and answers all my questions.

Prior to seeing Dr Franz, we had been advised to seek help from a neurologist for my son's debilitating headaches. The neurologist felt that the pain was psychosomatic. A suggestion from an urgent care doc to see Dr Franz was life changing for us. Dr Franz correctly diagnosed a sealed ethmoid sinus as the cause of my son's pain. After trying non-invasive solutions, but not seeing a complete resolution to the situation, Dr Franz performed an ethmoidectomy and my son's headaches were completely cured. My son, who had missed 2/3 of 2 years of school due to this pain, was immediately able to resume normal activities. We have since sought care for repeated bouts of strep throat for our daughter. Dr Franz was once again competent and caring as he found solutions for her needs. Our family confidently recommends Dr Franz as a superbly caring and qualified doctor and surgeon. He does not choose to operate without exploring other options, but when it is necessary, he operates with precision.

Never saw him. He was in emergency surgery. After an hour the lights had gone off in the room and a nurse finally told me he wasn’t there. I was mad. I rescheduled. Poor office staff

I do not like tablet used at check in.

I waited for over an hour and the doctor didn't even offer an apology. This feels disrespectful, as if my time is not as valuable as his. However, he did treat my problem.

Dr Franz is absolutely amazing! He removed my tonsils when I was a teenager (I’m now 33), and I couldn’t be happier to have him here caring for all 3 of my own children. I’ve never seen a dr as kid friendly and gentle as he is, he’s very special!

Everything was great

Dr. Franz is great. Did surgery on my sinuses and it helped me a great deal. The surgery almost eliminated the sinus infections.

Dr. Franz was professional and thorough. He also had compassion concerning my inability to hear out of one ear. He got my hearing tested in the same visit and assured me it was temporary. This was a huge relief to me.

I am embarrassed on Dr. Franz’s behalf to have to rate him as a “poor” doctor on all important accounts: he makes the patients wait endlessly although I seriously think he doesn’t have much incoming patients compared to his other colleagues. He is clueless when he meets the patient, having received no or incorrect info. From the nurse. His diagnosis, advice and treatment are poor and completely ineffective. Don’t waste your valuable time!

I was experiencing Vertigo and was very uneasy about what I was going through. Dr. Franz explained everything and treated my ears . He was very kind .

Doctor Franz was so patient and communicated/interacted well with my six year old son. He is very good with children.

I've seen Dr. Franz three times. He is nice and listens. He was not able to resolve my issue and told me he doesn't know what is causing the problem. He did not do any x-rays or scans, which is concerning. I will seek another ENT doctor for a second opinion.

Doctor is Very Nice. But service is poor.if any emergency they don't answer by phone. If you week before, if you have any problem with in 4days, they suggest take an appointment. We need pay again $60 for copay.

The issue that prevents the highest rating is the difficult arranging a time to meet with David Franz. His attention is great, but it is too long to set appointments. Reduce the time to arrange appointments with doctors working in the organization.

Waiting for 50 min to see the dr is unacceptable when you have an appt.

Dr. Franz is great. Office information system is terrible. Cannot talk to a person. Leave message and no one returns it. Trying to get test results for a week now and no one returns call. On hold for 20 min then automatically goes to voice mail when trying to talk to nurse. Terrible communication system.
